Ben Godfrey (Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter)
Ben Godfrey, the longest serving Journeyman in the crew, has been with Good Grade since Sept. 2014. Ben has experience with custom boiler systems and lists steamfitting Category 12 Brewery as one of his favourite projects. In his free time Ben can be found mountain biking followed by a decent glass of scotch.
James Binfet (Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter)
James joined Good Grade in Spring 2015, bringing along with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in residential plumbing and gasfitting. James is our go-to Journeyman for our time sensitive projects and never backs down from a job. When he’s not working on land, he can be found in the water as he is a passionate fisherman.
Owen Stearns-Smith (Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter)
Owen was hired on with Good Grade in the fall of 2015, quickly taking on our largest project to date. Owen possesses a wide range of experience in both commercial and residential plumbing and gasfitting. In his downtime, Owen enjoys spending time with his family and when the weather permits a good game of disc golf.
Keith Wadden (Service Manager)
The Swiss Army knife of the crew, Keith Wadden heads up our Service Division. Keith is your first point of contact for our Service team and with his nearly 10 years experience in the field there is no call he will not answer. Keith is currently a Volunteer Firefighter for Langford Fire & Rescue and enjoys hunting and fishing.
Kyle Murai (4th yr. Apprentice)
Kyle began his plumbing career with Good Grade in 2014 upon completion of the Plumbing Foundation Program at Camosun College. Often referred to as the face of Good Grade Plumbing, Kyle is known for his great smile and positive attitude towards his work. A weekly tradition of taking in a movie and his regular attendance at local music festivals means Kyle is our go to man for everything trending.
Chris Taylor (Operations Manager/3rd yr. Apprentice)
Chris joined Good Grade in the fall of 2015 bringing with him experience in both the administration and plumbing fields. As the Office Manager for Good Grade Plumbing, Chris is the man behind the curtain, however he still enjoys getting out on the tools when he can. A self-admitted hockey fanatic and proud father, Chris enjoys playing hockey and hiking with his family.
Jen Hobby (Apprentice)
Jen Hobby came to Good Grade in 2016 after spending her first years in the plumbing industry in Alberta working mostly on commercial jobs. A willingness to learn and persistence has Jen constantly proving her value to the company. Jen enjoys exploring the island and taking in that summer sun as she is a prairie girl at heart.
Brandon Yule-Oliver (4th yr. Apprentice)
Brandon, or the Jolly Giant of Good Grade as he is often referred to, came to us from the mainland in the fall of 2016. Bringing with him a wealth of experience in residential new construction, Brandon takes great interest in learning more about custom home heating systems. Brando is the health nut of Good Grade, often getting up at the crack of dawn to hit the Gym.
Jamie Thompson (Office Administrator)
Jamie moved to Vancouver Island from Winnipeg, Manitoba a few years ago. Bringing with her 6 years of office experience and two years of experience in the construction industry. Jamie is the nerd of Good Grade and you will often find her playing video games in her down time. However, she still enjoys exploring the island, fishing and camping.
Travis Warren (Journeyman Plumber)
Macaulay Ross (Apprentice)
Macaulay or “Big Mac” as he is often referred to, joined our team in late 2017. Mac brings a great attitude and work ethic, along with the motivation to learn. He is eagerly awaiting to begin his first year of school while he gains on the job work experience. In his spare time you can find him coaching water polo or working on his boxing skills.
Regan Copeland (Owner/Admin)
When Regan isn’t helping in the office she is most likely wrangling her and Jason’s two kids (3 and 5)……or drinking wine, or both!
